Since moving to Melo in 2021, the Serra da Estrela has become both my home and my working ground. Each day I walk through its ridges, burned valleys, and quiet plateaus, searching for a form of beauty that rises beyond the familiar aesthetics of nature. It is a beauty that C.G. Jung described as the numinous — an encounter that cannot be fully named, yet unmistakably felt.

This experience can be compared to entering two identical rooms: one feels fine, the other feels profoundly right. Nothing visible explains the difference, yet the sensation is undeniable. In the landscape, this same shift occurs. A place suddenly reveals a presence that exceeds the ordinary — a moment of clarity, stillness, or recognition that escapes language.
